Maskom Masterbatches visited Plastindia with a hope to target customers from some specific parts of Asia and Europe. "Plastindia is big and exhibitors come up from all over the world. So, we are here to target them. The Indian marketplace is brimming with masterbatch producers and they offer solutions at cheaper rates equally compared to us. So, we were sure that it would be difficult to target Indian customers hither. Hence, we are looking for tie-ups with non-local participants," said Nihan Bacanak Okumus, general manager of Maskom Masterbatches. "The Indian market is price driven. The ones offer solutions at lower rates triumph here."
"If I compare Plastindia to other European events, information technology looks weak. You tin can see visitors from all over the world at events in European countries. However, here in Plastindia, it is predominantly Indians who come to the effect. Overall, we're not completely satisfied with this event. I also experience that this non the correct venue for such an event; a city like Bombay or Delhi would have been a better host," Okumus concluded.
More than 45% of Maskom's turnover is achieved from its exports concern.
